LUNA (24-047) is a wonderfully happy, energetic, and sweet 1 yr old Golden. On the smaller side at 53 pounds, her foster family refers to this pretty girl as a “fun-sized” Golden. Luna is learning how to walk on leash and does best in a harness as she explores, sniffs and satisfies her abundant curiosity and expends some of her puppy energy. She came to her foster home a bit timid and is still startled by loud vehicles. She enjoys playing with her 4 legged foster siblings, but prefers supervising her humans and all their activities. She’s also an expert snuggler who wants to cuddle up with her humans on the couch and sleep next to them in bed. Luna is crate trained and likes to be able to access her crate when she wants “alone time.”

She is housebroken but needs a mid day potty break, so her forever home will need to accommodate this. Still very much a puppy, she wants to chase birds, squirrels and any other creature that catches her attention, so she will need to be leashed when outside or in a securely fenced yard. While she has her adult teeth, she still chews toys as if she is teething and will require supervision to make sure she doesn’t swallow things she shouldn’t. She doesn’t like to get into vehicles, but once inside, she settles well in the back seat. With time and trips to enjoyable experiences, she will likely get in and out of cars with ease. Because she is still excitable, a home with young children would not be a good match. She has the enthusiasm, energy and mischief of a puppy, so her forever family will need to provide plenty of exercise, and she would benefit from training classes.
