Available Dogs MAGGIE MOO (23-055)

MAGGIE MOO (23-055) is an almost three year old gal who is on a quest to gain weight after being found as a stray. Luckily, she is gaining at a good pace and starting to thrive. Maggie is a very pretty redhead and her favorite place is sitting next to you on the sofa. She loves to follow her person around and is generally a good companion and very affectionate. Maggie is crate trained and happily goes to her crate in exchange for a small treat. She gets on well with other dogs and cats and enjoys playing with her toys. While she would enjoy a canine brother or sister in her new home, she would also do well as an only dog, especially with a family that is not gone long hours. She walks well on an Easy Walk harness and is friendly with all she meets. Maggie played very well with a visiting six year old child but younger children would find her energy level and height too energetic.

Maggie has been learning good house manners at a rapid pace but still needs a little work. She is tall and sometimes can’t help herself from counter surfing, but this has greatly reduced now that she is no longer starving. And now that she is feeling better in a safe environment, her anxiety and house-breaking accidents are almost a thing of the past as well. Continued positive reinforcement in her new home will be essential. Although Maggie has lived through neglect, it hasn’t dampened her Golden spirit. With lots of time and attention from a family that isn’t gone from home for long hours, she will grow to be an excellent companion.
