Available Dogs PUDDING (24-068)

PUDDING (24-068) is a 9 yr old boy who enjoys barking at the occasional squirrel in his fenced in backyard and taking frequent naps. He is 113 pounds of golden affection, loving on his humans with frequent head nuzzles and gentle licks on the hand. Pudding is a couch potato (although he likes the floor more than the furniture), and he enjoys the sole attention of his people. Pudding is a special boy who will need to be king of his own castle in an adult-only home with no other pets. Pudding is fully house trained and he prefers several short excursions, walks, or one-on-one time during the day to do his business and check in with his people.

He walks well on leash once he gets to know his person. He loves his car rides, sleeping most of the trip unless he sees fun things to bark at outside. His favorite toy is his tennis ball and he tolerates brushings and nail clips. Pudding has been troubled by arthritis and hip dysplasia in his left hip. Massage, laser and hydrotherapy have helped him regain strength and muscle mass in his hind legs and he is doing so much better. He now takes medication to help with any discomfort. Getting and keeping his weight below 100 lbs will really help, so his new home will need to commit to a diet and exercise program for him. His ideal home will have carpet or scatter rugs and one-level living. He really likes to be with his people all day and take frequent short walks, so someone who is retired or works from home would be ideal. Pudding is a sweet boy who needs a quiet adult home where his person will shower him with love, devotion and compassion. Are you his person?
