Hi, I’m Hank and I’m a handsome 5 1/2 year old boy. My birthday is January, 2021 and I’m probably a golden retriever/border collie mix. I’m about 70lbs and am full grown. I was adopted when I was 2 months old but sadly, my family now has young kids and does not have the time to give me the exercise and attention that I need. I am very loyal, smart, playful and energetic. I’m crate trained and house trained, and I’m already neutered and up to date on vaccines and preventatives. I love women and older kids. Men are okay too, but some men do scare me and I don’t understand little kids. I also love other dogs but I’m not good with cats or other small animals. I have a lot of energy and would be a great walking or running partner. As a border collie, I need exercise and mental stimulation. But also I’m approaching middle age so I’ll be settling down more and more. Five and a half is such a good age. I’m not a wild puppy but am still healthy and active and have a lot of years ahead of me. I like being with my people and don’t like it when they leave me so I have some separation anxiety. Mostly I cry, pant and am extra clingy. Sometimes I’ll try to escape and climb in the car with my family. Overall, I’m a handsome, wonderful boy who is looking for a smart, active partner who I can love and spend the rest of my life with. I’m being fostered in N. Virginia and can be adopted to the DC metro area, the Richmond area and the Harrisonburg, Virginia area.
