APRIL (25-049) is a beautiful 3-year-old girl searching for a patient, loving home where she can truly thrive. April is very shy when meeting new people, but once she feels comfortable, she becomes extremely affectionate, gentle, and devoted. She is very active and energetic, loves her daily walks, and adores playing fetch. April walks well on a leash, handles stairs with ease, and does not chew on household items. She is fully housebroken and food motivated and very smart, making the necessary continued training both easy and rewarding. She gets along well with her foster sisters but needs time to get used to new dogs. She would do best as an only dog or with a non-dominant canine companion. Cats are an unknown. April is crate trained and stays there while her foster family is away, though she would be happiest with a family that has someone at home more regularly.

She sleeps in and outside of her crate as we leave its door open during the night. April enjoys her car rides, hops right in, and will settle into the back seat comfortably.
