Available Dogs arrow ASH (25-040)

ASH (25-040) is a stunning and funny 10-year-old golden girl with a heart as big as her 75-pound frame. Don’t let her age deceive you. She is a “super-ager” and runs very fast when she is excited. She’s treat-motivated and eager to learn new things, especially if snacks are involved. She navigates stairs with ease and still has plenty of energy. Ash came to GRREAT with minor health issues due to a lack of attention and routine care. She is now happy and healthy, only needing some supplements to help with arthritis. Ash is the perfect blend of mellow and spirited; content to lounge peacefully but always ready for a good walk with her foster brother. She walks politely on leash and is not concerned with other dogs or squirrels. Her gentle energy makes her a delightful companion for someone who enjoys relaxed strolls and quiet evenings.

Since she enjoys being outside, having a fenced yard would be ideal so she can take her time observing the world around her. Ash has a super-sweet way of showing love; she greets us with a soft toy “gift” every morning, and when we come home. She doesn’t chew them, she simply carries them around like treasures, sharing her joy with us. She gets along well with her foster brother and respects his boundaries. She would be ok as an only dog but she would rather live with a canine companion. Ash is fully house-trained, knows basic commands, and waits patiently for permission before eating or walking out the door. She has been left home alone for six hours during the day and sleeps through the night. She’s not a fan of car rides, but she tolerates them like a champ. She likes being brushed gently and stays off the furniture. Due to her size and powerful wagging tail, a quiet home without small children would be best. She is a wonderful companion and is eager to share her time and affection with her Forever Home.
