Available Dogs BOHDI (25-010)

BOHDI (25-010) is a 7 yr old, 80 lb boy. He is a big-hearted Golden with an even bigger love for attention, and he’s not shy about asking for it. Whether it’s gently nudging your hand for pets or plopping his head in your lap at dinner (begging with those soulful eyes), Bohdi knows how to work his charm. He listens well though; ask him to go lay down, and he’s on it. He’s a family dog through and through. Bohdi enjoys watching the kids running around but he does startle at sudden loud noises and swift moving objects close to him. For the most part, Bohdi coexists peacefully with other pets, and sometimes wants to play, but he can be a little possessive of resources. He would do best as an only dog or as a companion with a calmer/older dog. He’s totally relaxed and trusting with people. He’s fully potty trained, has great recall, and usually stays close because he simply loves being near his people, so a fenced yard isn’t a necessity as long as he’s never outside alone.

This sweet boy is also a bit of a comeback kid. He had spinal surgery for a herniated disc but has made a full recovery, no more pain meds needed. He’s also hypothyroid and takes one pill in the morning. Since getting on thyroid meds, his coat has gone from dull and flaky to absolutely gorgeous. He also takes a daily OTC allergy med, which helps him stay comfortable during seasonal changes. Bohdi is looking for a home where he can be part of the family; whether that means joining you on the couch, tagging along outside, or sitting under the table hoping for a snack.
