CHARLIE (25-035) Hi, I’m Charlie! I’m seven-years-old and 70 pounds with soft, snow white long fur. I’m a very good listener to commands and love being close to my people. Before GRREAT, I spent my whole life with one owner. I absolutely love sticks the most, but also love to play fetch and tug. I also like to have my long, fluffy fur brushed. I’ll bark when I see the mailman come to the house, but only because I love people SO much. I am uncertain about new spaces, especially bare wood floors and sometimes stairs, so I will need a little patience getting used to a new home. My foster home and I have met with a behaviorist and we’ve got some neat exercises to help me be more confident. My mom says a little treat training would help me feel comfortable going into some rooms or hallways.

Because I can get overly stimulated when playing with other dogs, it would be best if I were the only dog in the family or with a laid-back female companion dog. I don’t really know how I would be with cats. I really like the kids that I’ve met while on walks but I was overwhelmed living with the toddler energy in my first home. An adult-only home, or one with older kids would be best so I can have lots of the quiet one-on-one time I crave. While a fenced yard is great, it’s not necessary since I really just want to be near you and chew on a stick. Even if a dog walks by, I have shown that I can listen to you and not engage. I’m also mature enough to stay in my area without counter surfing if I’m left alone during the day and have done well up to 6 hours. Overall, I am a SUPER sweet boy with lots of love to give. Once I open up and connect, I’m the perfect gentleman with a kind soul.
