CLARK (25-024)
CLARK (25-024) is a 20 month old Golden boy that’s as cute as they come. At 55 lbs, he’s a little on the smaller side and is a ball full of energy and spunk. Clark had some training before coming to GRREAT and for the most part listens to commands well, but with his puppy brain, he will continue to need reinforcement to be reliable. He’s also a bit of a novice on the leash. He is making progress but will need a lot more practice to solidify his leash manners. Clark is very high energy and needs to run around and get a lot of exercise, so a safely fenced yard is preferable. Clark is so sweet and loving and knows how to give his humans a “hug”, but he does struggle a bit with anxiety. He does not like to be left alone and will get upset and pace, so a family with someone home most of the day would be ideal. Clark does get a lot of reassurance from his two furry foster brothers, so having another friendly and playful doggy companion is a must.
Clark is gated in a doggy proofed area when home alone because he has an affinity for socks and counter surfing. He is still unsure of car rides because he hasn’t had many of them, but we are working on positive associations and he is coming around. He seems to like children but is a bit nervous around fast-moving young ones, so an adult-only home or one with older kids is preferable. Clark is an absolute sweetheart and will need a family that can take the time to give him the attention he needs to adjust to his new surroundings. He will truly add so much love to his family!
