COPPER (25-036) and BLEU (25-037), ages 5 and 6 respectively, are two big, beautiful, friendly brothers who will melt your heart when you meet them. They seem bonded with one another and should stay together. They need to lose some more pounds but are still going to be big boys when they get to their best weights. Bleu is larger (currently 125 pounds), with a wide, handsome block face. He is easy-going and pretty much does what you ask him to do. Copper is slightly smaller (though still big at his current 114 pounds), with a narrower face. He tends to stay glued to your side in the nicest of ways.

A fenced yard would be nice but is not mandatory. They are calm and don’t bark, so an apartment dweller committed to exercising them would be considered. They love to go on walks and are remarkably easy to handle considering their size since they seldom pull on the leash, except for switching sides without warning and tangling up their leashes, or pulling towards the occasional squirrel. They enjoy walking at a slow to medium pace, stopping for sniffs and pets from strangers. They will vigorously chase a ball or a rabbit or a cat that has strayed into the yard, but due to their current weight, we are careful not to overdo it.

They are patient and friendly around children. They lived with another dog in the past but have not been tested with new dogs in their foster home. Cats in the home are an unknown. They can be left alone for several hours at a time. We limit their toys to Kongs as they destroy and eat stuffed toys. Bleu had stomach issues early on until we changed him to a higher fiber food. We are hoping for a forever home where they will be richly loved and cared for. If you work from home, expect to have one sleeping on each side of you at all times, or with a chin on your lap.
