Available Dogs ELA (25-001)

ELA (25-001) Bella Ela is a sweet and energetic 7 year old petite Golden nugget. She came into foster when her family was growing and they wanted Ela to have the love she deserved. She slipped into our home with our three dogs very easily and enjoys frolicking with her foster brothers and sister in our fenced yard. Ela is ball obsessed and will play fetch until you give up. Currently she’s playing ball for at least a half hour in the morning and a half hour in the evening. She easily drops the ball into your hand and is ready to go again and again. Ela walks easily on a leash with no pulling and enjoys all the new smells of the neighborhood on her twice daily mile-and-a half walks. In her previous home she had a tendency to eat whole walnuts from the yard which got her into trouble.

She has had several surgeries to remove them from her stomach and intestines, so a yard without trees that produce nuts will be a consideration when placing her with her forever home. Ela will dig in the yard if left alone; she may be looking for buried squirrel treasures. Ela will destroy a stuffed toy to get that annoying squeaker out in seconds. If there is no squeaker, the toy is safe. She loves to play tug and she is strong! Ela is good with children and other dogs, although she tends to play very exuberantly. Not sure about cats. She is completely housebroken and can be left free in the home, but she would love to have a family that’s home more often than not. She’s also great in the car. Don’t let her snow-kissed face fool you, this gal has a nice, medium-to-high energy that will keep you moving and then curl up for a nice nap. She has been a joy to have in our home.
