Available Dogs GRACIE (24-063)

GRACIE (24-063) is an endearing 10-month old, 60lb beautiful blonde Golden girl. She is happy, playful, and well socialized. Gracie would love to have canine and human siblings (cats are an unknown) to play with. She can and will play by herself at times, but Gracie is a very social and interactive girl. She is very, very attached to her human family, and loves to cuddle up on the couch, snooze on feet or in contact with her siblings, or otherwise be where her people are. Gracie is an energetic girl and is still in her puppy phase. She needs to run and play regularly to burn off that puppy energy, and can be pretty rambunctious when she hasn’t had the opportunity to do that. Gracie is still learning her basic commands, but she is very trainable and eager to please. She can be mouthy but has not chewed on anything inappropriate. She is okay in a crate, but requires significant encouragement to go in.

Gracie LOVES to go on walks, and enthusiastically engages with the world; the leaves, the squirrels, the grass, the birds, etc. She does pull on her leash, but with training and good human guidance she will happily be a wonderful walking companion. Gracie is enthusiastic about the world, and there are few doors that she hasn’t dashed through at full speed so her human family will need to be conscious of her tendencies and help her understand that not all doors are for her. She rides extremely well in cars, and is a very happy riding companion.  Gracie is housebroken,  and likes to potty at regular intervals throughout the day. She needs her human family to learn and attend to her subtle signals that she needs to go out, because she doesn’t usually say she needs to go until she REALLY needs to go. Gracie is good around human children, and has been observed around kids as young as 9. She loves chewing on bones, tearing apart stuffed toys, and chasing balls. Gracie needs a fenced yard. Her enthusiasm for the world far exceeds her willingness to stay in her own yard.  Gracie is looking for a family that will love her and teach her how to be the wonderful family member that she so desperately wants to be. She will love that family with all of the love and energy that she can give.
