LADY (25-026) and BUTTERCUP (25-027)
LADY (25-026) and BUTTERCUP (25-027) are sweet 2-yr old sisters that will bring joy to any home. Their teenage exuberance and energy is on display as they run and play with each other outside, but once inside, they settle down nicely and just want to be with people. These girls weigh in at 70 pounds +. Lady is slightly bigger than Buttercup, and is a bit more adventurous than her sibling, while still not venturing too far in our fenced-in backyard. Buttercup tends to stay close and check back in more frequently. They both enjoy being brushed and have lovely coats. Noises, like thunder, don’t seem to bother them. Aside from being housebroken, they haven’t had a great deal of training, but they are smart and eager to please, so they catch on quickly and now sit very well at treat time.
Walking on a leash is still a bit of a challenge. On the one trip to the vet, they rode well in the back of our Subaru. They love all people but would be overwhelming for young children, and they seem to be more cautious around men. They seem to be intimidated by our small dogs but give our horses little attention on walks around the field. While they previously lived with cats, it was unclear how much time they actually spent in close proximity. While they do okay by themselves, nothing makes them happier than the return of humans and they show it with exuberant wiggles and cuddly enthusiasm. If you’re looking for the sweetest Golden duo ever, Lady and Buttercup are just the pair for you.
