Available Dogs MAGGIE (25-028)

MAGGIE (25-028) is an 11-year-old Goldendoodle with the heart and energy of a dog years younger! Don’t let the number fool you; this sweet girl still enjoys her daily walks and has plenty of pep in her step, all wrapped in a calm, gentle demeanor. Maggie is incredibly loving and thrives when she’s close to her people. She’ll happily follow you from room to room just to be near you. Maggie was raised by a woman and bonds very quickly with them. She gets along great with men as well but it would be best for her to have a woman in the home. Children are an unknown, but due to her age, an adult only or one with teenagers would be ideal. While she enjoys some time outside in our fenced yard, she prefers to be with her people inside the comforts of her home. Maggie is house-trained, knows her basic commands, and has perfect indoor manners; she’ll let you know when she needs to go out and mostly likes to follow you around during the day. She walks well on a leash, about 1 1/2 miles in the morning and about a mile in the afternoon when it’s not too hot. Maggie is also a world-class cuddler and loves to curl up next to you on the couch for some quiet companionship. She gets along beautifully with other dogs and is friendly with everyone after a few minutes of introduction. Her compatibility with cats is unknown, but her mellow personality suggests she’d likely adapt well in the right environment. She doesn’t have much interest in the toys her foster sisters have. Maggie would do well as an only dog or with other dogs, as long as her people are around some during the day. If you are going for a drive, Maggie would love to join you and will relax in the back seat. Maggie is spry for her age; she’s able to climb stairs but having them carpeted would be helpful as with any dog. She does have a skin allergy which is being treated nicely with Apoquel. Maggie is the definition of a chill, loving, and loyal best friend. If you’re looking for a sweet, easygoing dog who just wants to be by your side, Maggie might be your perfect match.
