Available Dogs TASHA (24-037)

TASHA (24-037) is a blonde-haired beauty who just turned 4 years old. She is fully housetrained and if she needs to go out, she goes to the door to let you know. She loves to go for walks, but her most favorite thing to do is the 40-yard dash from the back door to the bird feeder to chase the squirrels away, so a safely-fenced yard is a must. Tasha loves to snuggle on the couch and lay in your lap. She is very affectionate but not needy. After a good cuddle session, she will happily go lay on the floor. For a 4-year-old, she is moderately active. She will bark if her overly active foster brother alerts everyone to an emergency at the front door; aka-the Amazon truck. But she is pretty low key overall. She has a pet pelican that is her favorite lovey, and she likes to carry things in her mouth, but she never chews anything up. Tasha has adjusted to her foster home with three Goldens and a visiting 130lb Newfie.

She is not a dog that plays rough and tumble, but she loves to walk with her foster brothers and chase the ball. At night, she likes to sleep by herself in the family room while they all go upstairs, so she is somewhat independent. Sweet Tasha originally came from a home with children, and she is perfectly sweet and good natured with all polite two-legged family members. She is the type of dog that could be fine with a companion dog or as an only dog. Tasha does want to be with you so it would be nice if she wasn’t home alone all day. Her leash manners are good, but like most Goldens she can be a bit of a puller, especially if she sees her nemesis, Mr. Squirrel. She will come, sit, stay, and lay down when asked. She is great in the car, and despite most Golden’s love of water, she has no interest in getting in a pool. However, when we give her a bath, she is incredibly cooperative. Tasha is a sweet, sensitive girl who needs that forever home with a securely fenced in yard where she can get plenty of love, attention, and exercise. She will reward you with kisses, complete devotion and she will definitely keep you warm on cold winter nights!
