ZEUS (25-005) Do you like snuggles, a wagging tail, and a big radiant smile? Well you’re in luck, Zeus is your guy! As they say, goldens have no idea how old they are, and Zeus, at 11 years young, is a prime example. Affectionate, active, and chill as can be, Zeus is the perfect combination of couch potato and eager adventurer. Zeus came to GRREAT well over 100lbs and with a particularly bad chronic ear infection. Thanks to daily walks and an easy-to-follow diet, he’s down to a spry 89lbs with a little more to go. Weekly ear cleanings and antibiotics cleared up his ear issues and should continue in his new home.
Zeus is also on low dose thyroid and inflammation meds that are affordable, and he takes them well in a pill pocket with food. Zeus gets along well with his golden retriever siblings. He is an early riser and likes to greet you with an enthusiastic “wrumpf” in the morning. Due to his size, we’d recommend that Zeus go to a home with school age or older children, although, with the right home, he may do well with younger children. He walks beautifully on a leash and harness, has impeccable table manners, and enjoys his walks with eagerness and anticipation. If you’re looking for the perfect gentleman who balances energy with couch time, Zeus is your guy.
