BOSTON (25-029)
BOSTON (25-029) is a healthy 14-month-old red golden who currently weighs 57 pounds. He’s still very skinny but should fill out nicely over the next year or so. His obedience skills are actually pretty good, including polite leash walking. He knows basic commands, and obeys willingly. Importantly, he has a very reliable “come” command. He is fully housebroken and not destructive at all except for a few of his toys. He is affectionate and gentle but does enjoy playing hard, and playing often, so he’s looking for a very active family that would welcome the energy and antics of a young Golden.
He is a world-class tug of war competitor and enjoys a good game of fetch. He plays well with his foster sister and loves his time outdoors in the fenced yard. He would be ideally suited to a home possibly with another dog, children and lots of activity. He was raised with children in his prior home, and we understand there were no issues. Boston is friendly around other people and dogs but will bark at strangers if they approach too quickly. He warms up quickly, however. We’ve left him alone for several hours at a time with no incident and he is happy as can be when we return. We give him the run of the house and let him sleep where he chooses. He enjoys riding in the car and will leap in and out on his own. In short, he’s a good boy, and will be a great addition to his future home.
