*THIS IS A COURTESY POST FOR THE
GORDON SETTER CLUB of AMERICA RESCUE

Meet Capone, a 9 yr old boy with the markings of a Gordon Setter mix. He is in excellent health although a bit overweight. Capone is a very gentle dog who enjoys going on walks and behaves well on leash. He comes when called and is responsive to basic commands. He loves to please and may actually make a good therapy dog. He loves people and is very gentle with them. He is fine with kids and other dogs. He would do well in a multi-dog household, but he has been an only dog, and adjusts to that also. He also does well with cats, although he will chase a cat outdoors if it runs. Even so, we can call him off the chase and he responds immediately. Indoors, he is interested in cats, but if the cat stands ground, Capone just looks at the cat. Capone came into our rescue because his owner was having medical issues. He was known as a Gordon Setter mix because he is black with a few tan markings, but a DNA test shows that he is 50 percent Golden! He is being fostered in Maryland through the Mid-Atlantic GSCA Rescue
