HONEY (25-025)
HONEY (25-025) is a 50 lb, 9-year-old girl with a heart as golden as her coat. Don’t let her age fool you; this girl has plenty of pep in her step and loves to play. She’s a joyful, affectionate companion who’s happiest surrounded by her favorite people and doggy friends. Honey is great with children, friendly with everyone she meets, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs, although she can be a little insistent about playing with them. She would probably do great as an only-dog too, as long as she gets lots of attention from her people. She’s crate trained and happily stays there or in one of the bedrooms when we’re away from home for a few hours. She walks beautifully on a leash, and is always up for a good game of fetch or tug of war.
A fenced yard is great but not necessary since she really just wants to be with you. Her loving, gentle nature makes her the perfect fit for a family looking for a loyal, playful, and sweet dog. Like any true golden, Honey does have a mischievous streak—she’ll happily help herself to any food left within her reach, so some counter awareness will go a long way. She is also relentless around cats, so a cat-free home is required.
