MAYO (24-059) If you are looking for a laid-back, independent, and well-mannered companion, then Mayo is the girl for you! She is 6 years old and 80 lbs. of golden fluff. Mayo is fully housebroken, walks nicely on the leash, and rides quietly in the car. Her most prized possession is her red frisbee and she would love a safely fenced outdoor space to play a little fetch. Mayo is not used to being crated so she has had free roam of the house and she waits patiently for us to return.
We’ve left her for up to 4 hours at a time; any more than that and she would appreciate at least a midday dog walker. Mayo would be great as an only dog and the apple of your eye. She has been great with the well-behaved children in her foster home, but has not lived with cats or other dogs, and we aren’t sure how she would feel about sharing her space with them. She is generally calm and quiet around the house but has barked on occasion at a couple of dogs we’ve encountered while out. She is not very food driven and needs a little coaxing at mealtimes. Mayo will make a wonderful addition to a family willing to share their love and belly rubs with her.
