Available Dogs NALA (24-062)

NALA (24-062) is a 7 mo female who is as sweet as she can be.  She spent the first 6 months of her life in a very small apartment without much activity, so when she came to us she was pretty frightened of what the world has in it. She is a fast learner and knows ‘sit’ and ‘no’, and she has learned to sit before her meal is served to her. Nala is a typical active puppy and needs an active family who can provide her with lots of playtime and exercise. She would love to have another younger dog to play with or perhaps older children who could also provide her with more play time.

She loves to de-stuff her toys but so far doesn’t get into things that she shouldn’t; although she is tempted to counter surf, so food should not be kept anywhere within her reach, especially near her feeding times. She is a chewer and will pick up sticks and practically anything else outside to chew on, but will give them up without much fuss. She is good with friendly dogs and has no problem with cats. She would love to be able to get up on the sofa or bed for much-needed cuddles. Nalais generally housebroken but still a puppy, so she needs to go outside more often than an older dog. A family that is home more often would be ideal, and a good fenced-in yard would be wonderful for her to be able to spend some time off-leash to sniff things out and ‘do her business’.
